This gun is stamped with CESKOSLOVENSKA ABROJOVKA, AS BRNO which translates to Czecholslovak Arms Factory, Ltd, Brno referring to the renowned firearms manufacturer based in Brno, Czech. These rifles were highly regarded for their quality craftsmanship, often surpassing wartime German production in fit and finish. Serial #P0789 indicates production in the late 1930's. This is a classic piece of interwar military history. Well made and reliable. It has been re-blued, the stock has been refinished, rubber butt plate and Leupold VXII scope have been installed for big game hunting.
